SA-MP or open.mp: which should I run?

Both work. open.mp is the actively maintained server and loads existing SA-MP gamemodes and filterscripts, so most communities switch with little or no Pawn changes. Players keep connecting with the SA-MP 0.3.7 client or the open.mp launcher.

Is this managed SA-MP hosting?

No. It is a self-managed vDedicated with full Linux root. You upload and run your gamemode; we keep the hardware, network and anti-DDoS running and help with anything at the server or network level.

Which plan should I pick for SA-MP?

VDS Mini covers most SA-MP and open.mp servers, including MySQL on the same machine. Go to VDS Lite if you run several servers or a full web stack next to the game. You can upgrade later from the client area.

Why does Linux need 32-bit libraries?

The SA-MP and open.mp server binaries are 32-bit so existing plugins keep working. On 64-bit Ubuntu or Debian you add the i386 architecture once and install libc6:i386 and libstdc++6:i386.

Which port does SA-MP use?

UDP 7777 by default, set in server.cfg (classic) or config.json (open.mp). Open it in your firewall; anti-DDoS on our network already sits in front of it.

Can I run Windows instead?

Yes. Windows is available when the server is installed, if your plugins only ship Windows builds. Linux leaves more memory for the game and the database.

Can I try it before paying?
